The Answer is obtained by Expert Opinion:
In India, the data of blood banks are badly managed. However, there are few efforts being made with initiatives like e-Raktkosh to publish live inventory data of each blood bank. But that doesn't work due to lack of credibility.
Now in Developed countries, any person who needs blood doesn't have to go from pole to post to find blood. Hospitals are supposed to arrange blood. Whereas in India, most of the time attendants with patient need to arrange blood or find blood donors.
The main reason behind this is because developed nations run highly successful voluntary blood donation camps with the highly transparent system, giving complete visibility of the blood cycle to gain the trust of the donor. In India, mostly we rely on replacement blood and that's the reason there is always a huge scarcity of blood everywhere. The system is so opaque that its very difficult for a donor to see the beneficiary of their blood. Which leads to trust deficit among blood donors.
