iOS keeps a very keen eye on the app available on the app store and also test the performance of the app before publishing it. Hence, you can trust the apps available on AppStore. For developing app XCode is also compulsory on iOS, therefore there is an extra layer of security and standardization in iOS. iOS is not an open-source mobile OS.
Android is an open-source mobile OS, provide the user with a proper room to innovate. Android is highly customisable and easy to publish app n this platform. But Google is trying to make it more secure after more and more updates.
Sailfish OS is Linux based mobile OS which allows the android app to run comfortably and also have Google services installed.
